This Brutal House was Birch’s first major multi-media exhibition that incorporated photography, video, live performance, installation and paintings. The 3-part exhibition took place at 10 Chancery Lane Gallery in Central, 10 Chancery Lane Gallery Annex in Chai Wan and the 3000sq ft space, 10 Chancery Lane Gallery Art Projects also in Chai Wan. The series of works were inspired by thoughts of fun fairs, fun houses, haunted houses and circuses and how they created an escape for the participant.
